Welcome to the 1st Merton Park Scouts

Welcome to our scout group. Please download our welcome book to learn more about us.

We currently have no vacancies in Beavers or Cubs but we have some vacancies in scouts.

Admissions Policy

Due to our increasing popularity the Scouts Executive Committee has agreed an Admissions Policy from 11 June 2013. For details of this policy click HERE.

RAF Visit November 2013

On 23 November 35 of our Beavers, Cubs, Leaders and parent helpers visited the RAF Museum in Hendon.

Active Kids Vouchers

Last year we collected 1000 Active Kids Vouchers, which we will use to acquire some new sports and camping equipment. Please give generously again this year. Thank you all very much for your support!

The Merton Park Explorers Unit has established for itself an enviable record of working on welfare projects with rural communities in Kenya. Together with Kenyan scouts based in Mombasa members of the unit have visited rural Kenya on seven occasions since 1990. Read all about the history and the latest project report.

Want to help?

We always welcome help, whether it's to collect, sort or sell jumble for our jumble sales, or whether it's to help out in one of our sections. You don't have to have a child in the scout group. If you have any special skills or interests, please let us know.

Next Jumble Sale:

Jumble Sale collection – Wednesday 6th May 2015 from 6.30pm

Jumble Sale - Saturday 9th May 2015 from 1.30pm

We need more drivers and people to sort out jumble on 6 May. We also need cubs, scouts and explorers to come along and help. If you can also help set up our stalls on Saturday morning and help sell jumble in the afternoon, that would be a great way to support your group! We hold Jumble Sales twice a year and they keep subscriptions down, allow us to do all the activities in each section at reasonable cost, and keep down the cost of the Group camp in July.
